Overview
A custom property is a property that is not automatically pulled from the plugin and that you want to send to Carts Guru.
Here are several examples of how you might use custom properties:
- To collect additional information about your contacts, such as gender, measurements, coupon code, etc.
- To collect contacts' preferences, such as email frequency, type of content, etc.
- To collect contacts' responses to forms.
You can collect virtually any type of information you'd like about a contact, a cart, or an order using custom properties. Later on, you can use this information to tailor content or filter lists and workflows. There is no limit to the number of custom properties that you can add.
The custom properties added on contacts can be found inside of your lists conditions and will allow you to create additional segmentation options of your audience. For example, you can segment your contacts based on their Customer Group.
Inside of the List, click on Add condition --> Contact property to find the list of your custom properties on contacts.
Customer properties added on Carts and Order can be used in the Context Filters section inside of the Workflow configuration.
