How to create a manual coupon code

Manual discounts are created by yourself on your e-commerce platform, be it Shopify, Magento or Prestashop. You should opt for this option if you want to display a specific code such as "GET10OFF" and not a random alphanumeric one.

To create a manual coupon code, go to the menu bar, click ‘coupons’ and ‘add coupon’. Next, choose 'manual coupon'.

Select the discount type, which will be either free shipping or a percentage off the purchase. If you select to give a percentage off you will need to input the value of the discount as well.

Give your discount a label, then a start and end date, an expiry date, and a code (which you will have created on your e-commerce platform). Note that the characters included in a discount code can be: Numbers 0-9, letters a-z, A-Z, and dash (- + _ ! @ ?).
